The Lincolnton Youth Neighborhood Communitye—better known as LYNC—is excited to kick off a new season of fun, food, faith, and fellowship this September!

LYNC brings together five local congregations with one shared purpose: creating a welcoming place where children and youth from across our community can build friendships, grow in faith, and have fun together. Everyone is welcome, and families do not need to belong to one of the participating churches to attend.

Programs are divided into two age groups. LYNC Kids is open to children in kindergarten through fifth grade, while LYNC Youth welcomes all middle and high school students.

The fall season begins at First United Methodist Church in September. Youth will meet on Sundays, September 13 and 27, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Kids will meet on Wednesdays, September 16 and 30, from 5:00–6:30 p.m.

Each month, LYNC will gather at a different participating church:

  • October at Holy Cross: Youth on October 4 and 18; Kids on October 7 and 21.

  • November at Artisan: Youth on November 1 and 15; Kids on November 4 and 18.

  • December at St. Luke’s: Youth on December 6; Kids on December 2 and 16.

Youth gatherings are held from 6:00–7:30 p.m., and Kids gatherings are held from 5:00–6:30 p.m.

The season will conclude with a special community caroling event on Sunday, December 20, from 4:30–5:30 p.m. All congregations are invited to meet at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, walk through the neighborhood singing Christmas carols, and return for hot cocoa.

LYNC is built on a simple but meaningful idea: five churches, one community, and everyone welcome. We look forward to beginning another wonderful season together this September!
